Children's Museum of Evansville- Officially named The Koch Family Children's Museum of Evansville, it has interactive exhibits that promise a good time to its visitors. Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden- Mesker Park Zoo and Botanic Garden, founded in 1928, is amongst one of the largest and oldest zoos in Indiana. Home to more than 700 animals, the zoo features natural habitats of the animals. This historic zoo is also one of the first zoos in the country that use moats to exhibit the animals in its care. In 2008, their ‘Amazonia’ exhibit was inaugurated which enabled the zoo to add around 150 animals such as yellow-spotted river turtles, Baird's tapir, howler monkeys, capybaras, keel-billed toucans, squirrel monkeys and jaguars.
Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science- Founded in 1904, the Evansville Museum of Arts, History and Science is one of the most culturally significant institutions of Southern Indiana. It has an extensive collection or artifacts pertaining to science, art, history and anthropology. The museum’s permanent collection consists of more than 30,000 items under different categories like Decorative Arts, Photographs, Historic Documents and Natural History.
