This impressive mountain rises to the height of 12,953 feet and has twin summits i.e. East Mount Sopris and West Mount Sopris that are of equal height and are climbed together at ease. East Mount Sopris is accomplished by Mount Sopris Trail and is more common of the two peaks.

Aspen Art Museum - The museum founded in 1977 is globally renowned for its modern artwork that graces the walls and halls of the Museum. This museum is housed in a significant brick building along the famous Rio Grande Trail. This new museum is home to three floors- two are above ground and one below. The two floors above the ground are dedicated to an abundant versatile space, cafe, public terrace with panoramic views of the incredible Aspen Mountains whereas the one floor below the ground is home to gallery space.

Independence Ghost Town - This Ghost Town is located 16 miles east of Aspen on freeway 82. Situated at a height of 10,900 feet, Independence Ghost Town is the timber skeleton relics of Colorado mining operation of the 1880s. It is no surprise that inhabitants deserted the town owing to harsh weather. Independence Pass begins to bends just past the townsite. Travelers here can discover structures and buildings, stable, houses and Farwell Stamp Mill.
