About Vietnam Airlines (VN) Reservation

Vietnam Airlines is the flag carrier and one of the largest airline companies of Vietnam operating more than 300 daily flights across Southeast Asia, East Asia, Africa, Europe and Oceania. The airline was initially founded as Vietnam Civil Aviation in the year 1956. Later in 1989, it was established as a state-owned enterprise.

The headquarters of Vietnam Airlines is located at Long Bien District, Hanoi. It maintains two hubs at Noi Bai International Airport in Hanoi and Tan Son Nhat International Airport in Ho Chi Minh City along with a secondary hub at Da Nang International Airport in Da Nang. Baggage

Carry-On Allowance:

Business Class passengers are allowed to carry up to 2 bags and one personal item whereas Economy Class passengers can carry up to 1 bag along with one personal item. All carry-ons must adhere to the following requirements –

The maximum weight of the baggage must not exceed 15 pounds.

The maximum dimensions of the baggage must not exceed 45 inches.

The items that are counted as personal items include purses, cameras, binoculars, laptops, infants food, wheel chairs, walking canes, overcoats, blankets and likewise.

Checked Baggage Allowance:

For passengers flying to/from the Americas:

Both Business and Economy Class passengers can carry up to 2 bags which must not exceed the maximum dimensions of 62 inches and 50 pounds each.

For passengers flying within Asia:

The maximum weight of baggage must not exceed 66 lbs in Business Class and 44 lbs in Economy Class.

For passengers flying to/from Europe, Middle East, Africa, and Australia:

The maximum weight of baggage must not exceed 88 lbs in Business Class and 66 lbs in Economy Class.
