Among its subsidiaries are Air Canada Rouge, Air Canada Cargo, Air Canada Express and Air Canada Jetz.

The airline is associated with Star Alliance which is a premium airline alliance group. This allows the airline to extend its connectivity by manifolds. In total, Air Canada flies to about 210 domestic and international destinations. Being a major airline, Air Canada tends to offer the best of everything to its passengers. Be it food, entertainment or level of comfort for its passengers, the airline evolves and improves itself year after year. That’s how it has reached the heights it has at current times. Air Canada also offers Wi-Fi connectivity in some of its flights. This feature makes it very convenient for you to stay in touch with the outside world while you fly from one place to another. If you happen to be a shopaholic and have made Air Canada bookings for your next trip, then you would be delighted to know that there’s also an Air Canada Duty Free Boutique which you can access online or while flying onboard one of its flights.

Baggage Allowance

Carry-on Baggage

Most passengers flying on Air Canada flights are allowed to carry a Standard Article the dimensions of which cannot exceed 21.5 x 15.5 x 9 inches. In addition to this, passengers are also allowed to carry a Personal Article the dimensions of which cannot exceed 13 x 17 x 6 inches. While packing your bags for your trip, please remember that all the pieces of baggage that you carry should be small and light enough to fit in easily inside the overhead bin, without any assistance.

Checked Baggage

The size, weight and number of bags you’re allowed to carry as checked baggage depend on the fare-type of the Air Canada tickets you hold. In case the checked baggage you want to take along exceeds the weight and/or size limits allowed according to your fare-type, then you would need to pay an extra fee for the same. Also, if your checked baggage weighs more than 70 lbs. or its linear dimensions are more than 115 inches, then you’d need to contact Air Canada Cargo in order to be able to transport your baggage to the desired destination.

Please note that the baggage policy of an airline can change at any time without any prior notice. Hence, it is advisable that you keep yourself updated with the latest baggage policy regulated by the airline.
